Panels, breakers, devices and chargers from the manufacturers Sacramento inspectors know.

Sagan Electric is a licensed, family-owned electrical contractor serving homes and businesses across Roseville. We do panel upgrades and replacements, EV charger installs, outlet and wiring repairs, new circuits, ceiling fans and remodel wiring, from the older streets near downtown to the newest builds in West Roseville.
Most of Roseville gets its power from Roseville Electric, the city-owned utility, not SMUD or PG&E. We know its approval steps and the City of Roseville's permit process, so the paperwork doesn't slow your project down.
Roseville is one of the few cities in the region with its own electric utility, and it adds a step most homeowners don't expect. For a panel replacement or service upgrade, Roseville Electric has to approve the job before the city will issue the building permit.
We submit the utility's panel upgrade application with photos of the existing panel and, if it's moving, the new location. Roseville Electric says to allow up to 48 hours for review. If the service is getting bigger, the conductors and conduit feeding the panel may need to be upsized too, and we'll price that up front.
Once the utility signs off, we pull the permit through the city's online permit portal. Panel replacements, service upgrades and residential EV chargers qualify for the city's quick-permit track, so there's no long plan review for a typical house.
Roseville Electric needs 72 hours' notice to schedule the disconnect, and the city inspection is booked for the same day. We line all three up so your power is off once, for as short a time as possible.
Live just outside city limits? Some homes with a Roseville mailing address sit in unincorporated Placer County. Those are usually on PG&E and permitted by the county instead. Give us your address and we'll tell you which applies.
Roseville grew fast. The city went from about 29,000 people in 1985 to more than 74,000 by 2000, and it's past 147,000 today. That growth shows up in the wiring we find.
100A to 200A upgrades, Zinsco and Federal Pacific replacements, subpanels, and breakers that trip or won't reset. We handle the Roseville Electric application for you.
Level 2 chargers and 240V outlets, set up so you can claim Roseville Electric's charger rebate. See our Roseville EV charger page for details.
Dead outlets, warm switch plates, two-prong outlets that need grounding, GFCI protection in kitchens, baths and garages, and loose connections found and fixed.
Dedicated circuits for a home office, garage fridge, AC or spa, plus partial and whole-house rewiring for older Roseville homes.
New fans on properly rated boxes, recessed lighting, and outdoor and landscape lighting for Roseville's long, hot summers.
Tenant improvements, LED retrofits and new circuits for Roseville offices, shops and retail spaces, scheduled around your hours.
Home inspectors tend to flag the same handful of electrical items: Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels, double-tapped breakers, missing GFCI protection, ungrounded outlets and old smoke alarms. We can look at the inspection report, tell you which items are real safety issues, and give you a price to fix them, which is useful whether you're negotiating or getting ready to list.
Our shop is in Natomas, straight up I-80 from Roseville. Tell us what you need, and we'll handle the utility, the permit and the inspection from start to finish.
If you're inside Roseville city limits, your electricity almost certainly comes from Roseville Electric, the city-owned utility. Some homes with a Roseville mailing address are in unincorporated Placer County and are served by PG&E instead, with permits from the county. Your electric bill will say which one you have, or we can check from your address.
The install itself is usually one working day. Before that, Roseville Electric reviews the panel application (they ask for up to 48 hours), the city issues the permit, and the utility needs 72 hours' notice to schedule the disconnect. The inspection happens the same day as the disconnect, so your power is only off once.
Yes. At the time of writing, Roseville Electric lists a $250 rebate for a qualifying Level 2 charger, and $500 for customers enrolled in its rate assistance programs. The charger has to meet their specs, a permit is required, and there's a deadline after purchase. Our Roseville EV charger page covers the details.
Often it can, but it depends on what else is on the panel. We run a load calculation first. If you're short, a smaller charger, a load-management device or a service upgrade are all options, and we'll price each one so you can choose.
It depends on the job, the home and the permit. Our service pages list approximate ranges for panel work, EV chargers and repairs. For your home, you'll get a clear price after we see the job, before any work starts.

This company was amazing! When I called, they answered, and tried to go over trouble shooting with me on the phone. When we were not able to fix the issue over the hone, they came out THE SAME DAY! Not only that, they helped me determine it must be the SMUD box and helped me call SMUD to get them out the SAME DAY too! 10/10

Wonderful experience. Liam and Daniel were fantastic, and easy to work with - from getting quotes all the way to project completion. Absolutely professional, gave courtesy updates, and worked with my schedule. Will recommend Sagan Electric to anyone needing electrical work done. As a homeowner, it’s been a struggle to find contractors who are professional, doesn’t pressure you, friendly, and are easy-going. Sagan Electric is that unicorn contractor. Highly recommend! Edit: Dana processed my permits and rebates, and she is phenomenal! Consistent updates, and very clear communication. From the installer all the way to the back office, Sagan has exceeded my expectations. Great company.

Daniel from Sagan Electric gave me a fair quote for a ring camera and a Tesla charger. He educated me on my options and was patient with me throughout the process. Liam and Eric completed the installation. They asked about placement and provided recommendations. They were kind and made me feel comfortable. I am so happy with their work and highly recommend Sagan Electric.
